"Lost items & terrible response times - frustration beyond repair!!"
Earlier this year I ordered a beachcaster which never arrived; after some toing & froing, a replacement was sent out. Must be a one off, or so I thought.
On 29.04.23 I ordered a new rod along with a number of other items. The rod, along with another item, did not arrive, despite paying extra for express courier delivery. It is now 12.05.23 & I've yet to receive the missing rod or other item, even though they assured me that replacements had been sent out on 05.05.23.
I'd mind less if there were swift responses to their failure to provide a proper service, yet there were still in excess of 24hrs to many of my email enquiries - very poor!
I am very aware that Martyn Page set Angling Direct up as a result of poor hit & miss services provided by other tackle dealers; & yet now, in my experience having used a number of other very efficient tackle suppliers, is amongst the worst I have come accross.
To make matters worse, customer service is poor with agents failing to read the detail of complaint/enquiry emails, resulting in frustration & extra unneccesary communication required.
I feel stupid as following Angling Directs previous hicups in failing to deliver, I have given them another chance, only to be bitterly disappointed; it's in fact even worse now, having lost my goods twice now on this latest order.
I bet Mr Page would be gutted to hear this given his promised ethos of good service.
I don't think I'll be going back for anymore torture &, let's be clear, a 2star review is, quite frankly, generous given the circumstances!
"Every cloud has a silver lining"
Have ordered multiple items from AD, from rods to shelters, hooks, reels, bait and beyond. Never a bad experience with them until my latest order (stay with me here because all does not end badly).
A recently used courier service, whom I had not heard of before now, had delivered my package to a completely wrong address.
Nathalie from AD customer advisory was not only great to deal with but she managed to get the courier to retrieve my package from the wrong address and redeliver to my address. Granted the packaging had taken a bit of a beating what with I imagine who ever took delivery the first opening it up and having a snoop, then the courier having to reseal the package.
A couple items were missing and one item damaged.
Nathalie sorted the missing and damaged in a new shipment for me which is very much appreciated.
Honestly the best customer service I have experienced in a very long time.

My first order was delivered damaged but probably originated with the manufacturer. Contacted customer service and product exchanged in a short time. Received my order today and I am completely happy again.

"missing part on a boxed MAP barrow order."
I had a problem with a missing part on an order, I spoke to Jason who has delt with getting a replacement for me. This is to be sent direct to me from the manufacturer I understand.
Problem sorted very efficiently and quickly, all credit to Jason for this. I have been an Anglian Direct customer for many years and will continue to source my fishing needs in the future.
